Angelo Madonia and Antonella Decarolis split

We have received an information from Angelo Madonia that his parter Antonella Decarolis decided to give up competitive dancing for the moment to enable her to concentrate on her private life and to dedicate time to the things she has had to give up for her dancing.
Angelo writes:
Knowing Antonella as both a person and as an athlete, for me this was very unexpected news. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Antonella, who right up to the last practice session, enabled us to give 100% to our dancing. I would also like to thank our teachers for all the help and dedication they have given us and to thank to our sponsors for their support.
Angelo and Antonella represented Italy in Professional Ballroom in the WDC federation. They were dancing together for a little over one year. Their best results include the 8th place at the WDC World Professional Ballroom last week, a final of the WDC European Professional Ballroom and 4th place in Blackpool Dance Festival in the Professional Tango in 2012.
